Trauma, Fracture Care and Sporting Injuries

A fracture is a medical condition in which a bone is cracked or broken. Most fractures are a result of a trauma or high impact force, however a fracture can also occur as a result of weakening of the bones due to certain medical conditions. Not all fractures require surgery, however they do need proper assessment and follow up.

We understand that dealing with these fractures or sporting injuries unexpectedly can be a difficult time for patients with disruptions to work and social life. At SOASIS we provide accessible patient centred care for all upper and lower limb fractures and injuries. To enable timely assessment and treatment of these fractures or sporting injuries, we have urgent appointment slots set aside each consulting session. We are also contactable for advice on these urgent cases by general practitioners, sports medicine physicians and physiotherapists 7 days a week.

Our aim is to provide personalised care for your injury, in order to give you the best chance of a fast and suitable recovery to your functional goals. Both our surgeons have extensive training in trauma and sports injury surgery for both adults and children. If surgery is required, we can offer this through both the public and private medical systems.
